Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Circulator)

Great Bend, KS | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 14 Weeks | Days – 4×10-hour shifts, variable start time | On-call required (8 shifts per month, including some weekends) | Weekend on-call coverage expected (Friday 5PM – Monday 7AM) | Holidays required on a rotating basis

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulator duties in the operating room across orthopedics, OB/GYN (including C-sections), and general surgery cases
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment throughout surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient patient care and procedural flow
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend and holiday coverage as assigned
• May float to procedural areas such as pain management and interventional radiology as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR circulator experience including orthopedics, OB/GYN (including C-sections), and general surgery
• New graduates are not eligible for this position
• This is a nicotine-free facility; candidates must comply with nicotine-free policy
• Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, local hires may be expected to convert to a permanent position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of OR circulator experience
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
• Experience with EPIC EMR is highly preferred
