Operating Room RN – Pediatrics

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and high-quality clinical outcomes
• Perform circulating nurse responsibilities including monitoring patient status and documenting care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Provide scrub nurse support by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons to promote procedural efficiency and patient safety

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing, required prior to start date
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) — American Heart Association, required within 6 months (180 days) of hire date
• BLS Provider — American Heart Association, required within 1 month (30 days) of hire date
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at time of hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Operating Room RN experience
• Pediatric OR RN experience is a plus
