Sterile Processing Technician

Contract | Mid Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment including autoclaves and other processing machinery
• Inspect and test instruments and trays to ensure proper function and completeness prior to sterilization
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to sterilization processes and quality control
• Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the sterilization workflow

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in a healthcare setting
• Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or equivalent) preferred or required depending on facility standards
• Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, and instrument assembly procedures
• Ability to work mid-shift hours

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume acute care or surgical environment
• Familiarity with instrument tracking systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
