Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics unit; travelers are not assigned pediatric patients
• Manage adult patients with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
• Collaborate with team members and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to frequent changes throughout a shift
• Strong collaborative communication skills with team and ancillary staff
• Resilient, positive attitude with a willingness to ask questions and support the best possible patient experience
