Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, applying dysrhythmia knowledge as needed
• Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed
• Document patient assessments and care using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Adhere to unit dress code (personal scrubs of any color) and all facility scheduling and holiday coverage requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License (must be on file at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (must be in hand at submission)
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (must be in hand at submission)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification (must be in hand at submission)
• Must have own reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR highly preferred
• Comfort and flexibility with floating across multiple Medical Surgical units
