Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel Contract)

San Antonio, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administer and monitor vasopressor therapy and other critical care interventions
• Float to Med/Surg unit (1:5 ratio) as needed per facility floating policy
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCAs and unit coordinators to ensure quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of ICU nursing experience
• Experience with vasopressors required
• Strong attendance record required — candidates with a history of call-ins or no-shows will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Experience in a critical care environment with high-acuity patients
• Comfort with floating between units as needed
