RN – Medical/Surgical & Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week with possibility of overtime
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with the health care team
- Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and interdisciplinary team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice
- Provide high-quality care to Geriatric, Adult, Medical/Surgical, and Telemetry patient populations
- Self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance; pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test-out during the first week of assignment — this is required to work on the unit
- Float to alternate campuses as needed
- Respond and arrive on-site within one hour if placed on call during periods of low census
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS certification required
- EPIC EMR experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required
- Must pass Basic Dysrhythmia test-out during the first week of assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting
- Familiarity with telemetry strip interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
- Experience working with Geriatric and Adult patient populations
