RN – ICU (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend rotation required | Every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with the health care team
• Provide high-quality care to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patient populations
• Interact effectively with patients, significant others, and interdisciplinary team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing
• Participate in every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Be available for occasional on-call assignments during low-census periods, with the ability to arrive on-site within one hour if called in
• Complete a Basic Dysrhythmia test-out during the first week of assignment — this must be passed in order to work in the ICU/CCU unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience within the last 12 months in a like unit required
• Must be willing to self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance of assignment in preparation for the Basic Dysrhythmia test-out

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or CCU setting
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and vascular intervention patient populations
• Familiarity with stroke care protocols and telemetry interpretation
