Job Title

Surgical Process Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Note: Orientation period requires 1st shift availability (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) for the first three weeks of the contract

Key Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely throughout the facility as needed
• Clean and turn over surgical rooms between procedures
• Lift and move heavy items in accordance with facility protocols
• Support surgical services staff to maintain efficient workflow within the department
• Complete required facility assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations during orientation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 full year of customer service experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active and unrestricted Ohio permanent license or valid compact license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the surgical specialty
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single facility or location preferred
• Prior experience in a surgical services or perioperative environment
