Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (FSED) | Travel Contract

Location

Corpus Christi, TX | Freestanding Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | No on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity emergency nursing care in a 15-bed freestanding emergency department operating 24/7
• Rapidly identify and respond to time-sensitive conditions including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma
• Perform and assist with procedures including splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, and patient assessments and reassessments
• Operate and monitor equipment including Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, and GE cardiac monitors
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings using Meditech EMR
• Provide oversight and collaboration with EMT-Paramedics on shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS (ALS) certification required
• TNCC certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification required
• CPI or equivalent certification required
• Demonstrated ability to work with urgency, compassion, and as a collaborative team member

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with airway management and mechanical ventilators
• Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Non-abrasive, compassionate bedside manner suited for high-acuity patient populations
