Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Maintain accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction
• Apply the framework for professional nursing practice and development throughout all aspects of patient care
• Maintain active EFM and NIHSS certifications as required for this role

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required
• Active Maryland RN license (verification must be less than 30 days old)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required
• Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification required
• Active NRP certification required
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be a state record
• Must be willing to work the facility’s schedule without scheduling restrictions
• Local candidates are welcome; no radius rule applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting
