Key Responsibilities

• Provide around-the-clock care for critically ill and unstable patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting
• Manage life-support equipment including ventilators and interpret vital signs to guide clinical decision-making
• Titrate complex intravenous drips and administer medications accurately and safely
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments on an ongoing basis
• Coordinate advanced care planning and interventions with the multidisciplinary medical team
• Float to similar units as needed; willingness to float is required

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 1 year of direct ICU experience (float experience does not qualify)
• EKG experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application is required
• Must be willing to float to similar units
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Neuro, CVICU, or Trauma settings
• Proficiency in managing ventilated patients
• Experience with CRRT and intra-aortic balloon pumps
