Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Ukiah, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Mid/Night Shift (17:00–05:30) | Expected 36 hours/week with weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and develop individualized care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide safe, patient-centered care
• Provide health education and information directly to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum of two years of recent Medical Surgical or acute care nursing experience
• Compliance with applicable vaccination requirements as a condition of employment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification — preferred for initial contract; expected to be obtained prior to any contract extension
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
