Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical Ortho/Spine (Night Shift)

Chattanooga, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected start: August 31, 2026 | 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Ortho/Spine unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Care for patients undergoing knee and hip replacements as well as multi-level spine surgeries
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and Navigators to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Adhere to floating rotation policy and maintain patient experience standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (must be valid in the state of Tennessee or through Compact licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Strong orthopedic nursing background required
• Demonstrated compassion and ability to work effectively within a team
• Willingness to wear required uniform (navy scrubs)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with post-surgical orthopedic and spine patient populations
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience working in a high-acuity surgical unit environment
