Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of observation than a general medical-surgical floor
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care as appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Prior experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit
- Ability to work night shifts as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity stepdown or progressive care environment
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced unit
