Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Newburgh, IN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend and every other holiday | No on-call or call-back required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment at a Level II Trauma facility
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKG and Dysrhythmia assessments (exam required)
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adapt to a dynamic clinical environment; floating to other units is not required

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact State RN license
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• AHA PALS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room experience
• Proficiency in Epic EMR within the last year required
• Must successfully pass a 12-lead EKG and Dysrhythmia exam prior to assignment
• Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II Trauma center
• Pediatric emergency care experience
• Strong adaptability and resilience in high-acuity, fast-changing environments
