Job Title

Travel Speech Language Pathologist

Location

Anchorage, AK | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 4 x 10-hour shifts per week | Rotating schedule including weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech language pathology services within an acute care and inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Perform and interpret Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• Document patient care and progress using the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in a rotating weekend-heavy schedule as part of a collaborative therapy team
• Float between acute care and inpatient rehabilitation areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist license or eligibility to practice in the state of Alaska
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an SLP
• Must complete state of Alaska required fingerprinting and background check submitted through NABCS; traveler must be in provisional or cleared status prior to assignment start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Credentialed in both FEES and MBSS procedures
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team player in a fast-paced hospital environment
