Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients in an acute care setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for oncology patients
- Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments in accordance with facility protocols
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and report changes in condition to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Kansas or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in oncology nursing
- Ability to work night shifts as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy certification
- Prior experience in an acute care oncology unit
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
