Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as a primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
- Experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing
- Strong critical thinking skills and decisive clinical judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Med Surg Tele unit within an acute care setting
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and interdisciplinary care coordination
