Travel Registered Nurse – PCU / Progressive Care Unit

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step-Down) setting within a high-volume regional referral center
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and Joint Commission regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of North Carolina or a compact state license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a PCU, Step-Down, or IMC setting
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in a large, high-acuity or Level II trauma center environment
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry in a step-down or intermediate care setting
