Job Title

Travel RN – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)

Location

Fort Worth, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 2 weekend shifts biweekly | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including Swan Ganz, arterial lines, and chest tube management
• Operate and manage specialized equipment including GE monitors, EV1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, and mechanical ventilators
• Document and manage patient records using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate as part of an all-RN team under the direction of a Charge Nurse Coordinator (CNC) on each shift
• Float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, or Cardiac PCU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)
• Ventilator experience required
• Arterial line, central line, and chest tube management skills required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CVICU-specific experience, including CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella management
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• BSN degree and/or CCRN certification
• Collaborative team player comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
