Job Title

LPN – Inpatient Rehabilitation (Travel, Nights)

Madison, WI | Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday rotations required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services, including high-acuity patient populations with conditions such as stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
• Collaborate with CNAs and interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety, including responding to call lights and assisting with hands-on patient care as needed
• Utilize mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGM devices
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Adhere to facility attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping policies, including mandatory 30-minute meal breaks and adherence to approved shift end times
• Participate in on-call requirements and may be asked to float to a satellite IRF facility within approximately 20 minutes of the primary location in the future

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience required
• Must have inpatient rehab experience or Med/Surg experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in medical-surgical or inpatient rehabilitation settings relevant to high-acuity patient care
• Familiarity with rehabilitation patient populations including trauma, stroke, and spinal cord injury cases
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit
