Travel RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Projected Start: September 3, 2026 | On-call shifts assigned and rotated among staff

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary RN Circulator for complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, and Circulatory Arrest
• Ensure all cases are appropriately staffed with one scrub and one circulator; pump cases additionally require a first assist/Heart Holder (RN or CST)
• Utilize Stryker equipment and document patient care using the Cerner electronic documentation system
• Adhere to hospital surgical attire policy; scrubs are provided by the facility
• Participate in assigned and rotated on-call shifts
• Float to other areas as needed on an infrequent basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (must be valid and in good standing)
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience; extensive expertise in the RN Circulator role within a CVOR setting is required
• Experience with the full range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures listed above
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience is required — no exceptions

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub and/or first assist experience and proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Familiarity with Stryker equipment and Cerner documentation
• Experience in a high-volume, efficient surgical environment
