Job Title

Travel: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Nights – 3×12’s)

Lafayette, IN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | 3x12s | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across ICU/CCU, Med/Surg, Emergency, and Level 3 NICU settings within a 160-bed unit
• Manage and operate ventilators (PB, Drager V500), BiPAPs (V60), HHFNC, Hamilton C transport, Oscillator, Jet, Nitric, and Bubble CPAP equipment
• Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
• Deliver care to high-acuity patients, managing heavy patient loads with strong time management skills
• Perform proficient EMR charting using EPIC
• Work collaboratively within a night shift team of approximately 4–4.5 staff, supporting a cohesive and experienced department

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials required
• Active certifications required: ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, including Med/Surg, ER, and ICU
• Demonstrated Level 3 NICU skills with ability to work proficiently in that setting
• Experience managing BiPAPs, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care as a Respiratory Therapist
• Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to adapt to higher acuity patient loads
• Willingness to work in a Level 3 NICU environment
• Strong personality fit for a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
