Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy 33-bed Medical/Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 on days and 5:1 on nights
• Monitor and manage patients using telemetry equipment and Meditech EMR
• Perform wound care, including care for surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Assist with occasional bowel programs and light burn care for low-acuity burn patients in partnership with the burn unit
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to deliver high-quality care

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license valid for practice in Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Medical/Surgical experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with spinal cord injury (SCI) patients
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Comfort working in a high-census, fast-paced medical floor environment
