Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of laboratory tests across chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology
• Execute quality control procedures and maintain compliance with laboratory standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients regarding test results and laboratory processes
• Operate and maintain clinical laboratory instrumentation as a laboratory generalist
• Work independently while providing direction and guidance to Medical Laboratory Assistants

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field required
• Must be board eligible by NCA or ASCP at time of hire and complete board certification within one year of employment
• Certification as MT by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by the National Accrediting Agency (NCA) required within one year of employment
• Must be capable of working independently and providing direction to support staff
• Immunization documentation required prior to onboarding, including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, T-Dap, and Polio (titers or historical shot records accepted where applicable)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• One to three years of related experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and/or microbiology
• Formal student internship experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Experience as a laboratory generalist with proficiency across multiple disciplines
