Job Title

Registered Nurse – PCU / Stepdown (IMC/ACU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse adult population on a general medical/PCU unit managing acute and complex conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac monitoring, oxygen supplementation, blood administration, and inotropic therapy for cardiac or renal diseases
• Administer and titrate IV drips including heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, and dobutamine
• Perform PIV starts and Foley catheter insertion and maintenance
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including GI bleeds, pneumonia, and sepsis
• Document all patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or active compact RN license
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced bill rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with Phillips cardiac monitoring equipment
• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or ACU setting
• Experience managing patients on inotropic therapy
