Job Title

Travel RN – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room environment with a 1:1 patient ratio across 5 ORs (3 open, 2 hybrid)
• Assist with and support complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic replacements, vascular procedures, and heart transplants
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary OR team including CSTs, ATs, and PCTs on day shift
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Float to Spine OR as needed per unit guidelines
• Adhere to on-call protocol, including a 45-minute response time from phone call to clocking into the unit when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (must be valid for the state of Texas)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience
• Strong CV surgical background; candidates without CVOR experience will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred; candidates holding this credential will be given priority consideration
• Experience with hybrid OR procedures and advanced cardiovascular surgical cases
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
