Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care for assigned patients
- Document care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
- Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with a professional nursing practice model
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
- Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required
- CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours certification required
- Proficiency in General Medical Surgical Nursing skills including Vent/Trach Care, Telemetry, Perinatal, and Dialysis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN degree preferred
- Telemetry certification preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
