Job Title

Pharmacy Technician

Location

Clearlake, CA | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 4x10s, rotating Monday – Friday with some weekends (at least once per month)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-discretionary, technical pharmacy duties under the direct supervision of a licensed, attending pharmacist
• Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians or other qualified prescribers in accordance with state and federal laws
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system as part of daily workflow
• Handle medication-related tasks including IV compounding in an inpatient setting
• Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations required by the role and department
• Perform frequent physical tasks including bending, reaching, standing, and occasional lifting of supplies up to 25 pounds

Required Qualifications

• California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration required
• Certificate of completion from a recognized pharmacy technician training program
• Minimum of two years of recent pharmacy technician experience
• EPIC experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to interact professionally with others

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience
• IV compounding experience
