Job Title

LVN / LPN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift) – 13-Week Contract

El Paso, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, feeding pumps, wound VAC, PCA, lift equipment, and oxygen delivery systems
• Perform and assist with chronic wound care and support respiratory therapy procedures such as breathing treatments
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and CNAs across night shift operations
• Deliver culturally competent care in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Required Qualifications

• Active LVN / LPN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Strong critical thinking skills
• No on-call requirements for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Proficient IV skills; experience with central line and Foley catheter management
• Background in orthopedic and/or kidney transplant care
• Experience caring for patients with cardiac, renal transplant, dialysis, pulmonary, GI, or diabetic conditions
