Job Title

Interim Cath Lab Manager (Cardiovascular Services)

Carmichael, CA | Cath Lab

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts with a general 7:00 AM start time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage staff scheduling for a 2-suite Cath Lab averaging 8 cases per day
• Oversee onboarding of new staff and support orientation based on individual skill level
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and cardiologists
• Handle day-to-day unit operations, including monitoring productivity and workflow
• Participate in call rotation, including weekend call (minimally every other weekend, Friday 15:30–Monday 07:00); average call days are 12 per period, ranging up to 18 depending on staffing, with a 30-minute response time
• Support a team that includes Charge Nurses and Cath Lab/IR Techs using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (or ARRT for applicable roles)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Must successfully complete a pre-placement competency exam prior to contract start (minimum passing score of 80%; two attempts permitted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing or leading in a Cath Lab or cardiovascular services setting
• Familiarity with cardiac invasive procedures, peripheral procedures (carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, peripheral diagnostic and intervention); scrubbing experience preferred but not required
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Prior interim or travel management experience in a similar clinical environment
