Key Responsibilities

• Set up exam rooms and check in patients for appointments
• Obtain and record vital signs, reporting significant findings and pertinent patient observations to the supervising provider
• Maintain a patient recall system, including a continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers
• Perform audiometry and vision testing
• Provide non-invasive, routine technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse midwife

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor required
• One of the following credentials required: CMA, CCMA, NCCT, CMA-NHA, NRCMA, RMA, MA, MA-AMT, EMT, or NEMT
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in the field
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training, or a certificate from CHDP
• Phlebotomy certificate
