Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on a high-volume Perinatal unit encompassing Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum, serving patients 20 weeks gestation and above
- Manage high-risk obstetric patients including those with hypertensive disorders, multiple gestations, diabetes, substance use, and limited or no prenatal care; must be comfortable with pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips
- Perform and assist with circulating duties during cesarean sections; scrubbing experience is a plus
- Utilize fetal monitoring system (Fetal Link) and document care using Cerner EMR in accordance with AWHONN guidelines
- Float as needed to Antepartum and Postpartum units
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB attendings, Neonatology, Respiratory Therapy, and OB Techs available each shift
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in California
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Demonstrated experience with high-risk deliveries
- C-section circulating experience required
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- Experience with Cerner EMR and fetal monitoring systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- C-section scrubbing experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with Fetal Link fetal monitoring system
- Experience in a high-volume birth center setting
