Travel RN – PACU

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | 3 Weekend Call Shifts Per Month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
• Assess and manage patient pain, airway, hemodynamic stability, and level of consciousness in the PACU setting
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Participate in weekend call shifts as scheduled (expected 3 per month)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to fulfill travel contract requirements for a 13-week assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume surgical or acute care PACU environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation systems
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced recovery setting
