Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure, making sound independent clinical decisions
- Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to revise plans as needed
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions
- Provide and evaluate patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor while fostering teamwork and a culture of safety
- Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement activities in alignment with practice governance standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of two (2) years of acute care RN experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required
