Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs, updating as conditions change.
• Implement nursing interventions, patient care procedures, and unit-specific protocols in alignment with the scope of service.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care to support integration of information across the healthcare team.
• Monitor EMU patients continuously for seizure activity.
• Collaborate with critical care teams and hospitalists in the care of Advanced Care patients.
• Promote patient and family communication through hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and whiteboard updates, while upholding patient and employee safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
• Active Illinois RN License in good standing.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience in advanced or critical care nursing settings.
