Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 3×12 or 4×10 Hours | Shift start times vary (6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 9:00 AM–9:30 PM) | Weekend availability required | Expected 60 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for up to one 12-hour shift per 2-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room within the full scope of an RN license
• Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and charting
• Participate in on-call coverage limited to call-offs as needed
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet staffing needs
• Work a minimum of 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s)
• Complete required facility onboarding modules prior to start and annually thereafter

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted for submission, but license must be in hand prior to offer
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Epic charting experience required
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted by the facility
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
