Job Title

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Afternoons

Contract | Afternoon Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Care for, handle, and store instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures under direct supervision
• Process and redistribute sterile goods throughout the medical center
• Assist Sterile Processing Specialists with team lead duties, including maintaining staff competencies
• Adhere to all facility scheduling requirements without restrictions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) experience
• Active HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification held for at least 2 years
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Flu vaccination required — declinations not accepted
• COVID vaccination required (minimum 1 dose as a state record) — declinations not accepted
• Local candidates are welcome; no radius rule applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience supporting team lead or charge responsibilities within a sterile processing department
• Familiarity with high-volume acute care or surgical environments
• Demonstrated ability to work a flexible facility-driven schedule without restrictions
