Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, and restorative care
• Take and record vital signs including pulse and blood pressure
• Help patients with basic needs such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Perform clerical duties including routing patient reports as appropriate
• Provide assessment data to the supervising nurse within scope of practice, including vital signs and patient verbal and nonverbal responses
• Use organizational and prioritization skills to keep the unit running smoothly and meet deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in the field
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an acute care or hospital setting
• Familiarity with clerical and administrative duties in a clinical environment
