Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with all cardiac invasive procedures, excluding structural heart cases, averaging approximately 8 cases per day across 2 suites
- Must be able to scrub cardiac and peripheral cases, including carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed, averaging approximately 12 days per month including at least one weekend (Friday 1730–Monday 0700), with a 30-minute response time
- Participate in rotating holiday call assignments as scheduled
- Document and manage patient information using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with charge nurses, cath lab/IR techs, IV team, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy staff available 24/7
Required Qualifications
- RCIS or CVT certification requiredBLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
- Ability to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases is required
- Radiology licensure is not required for this position
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any associated health system facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms may be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with peripheral procedures including carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostic and intervention cases
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR platform
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced cath lab environment
