Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in an emergency department setting
• Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and respond rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using computer systems
• Uphold a high degree of patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable standards
• Function independently while supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine, or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire date
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to function independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
