Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care for a wide range of presentations including trauma, cardiac events, burn injuries, poisonings, and behavioral health emergencies
• Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity, delivering prompt assessment and intervention
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and paramedics trained in emergency medicine
• Stabilize patients for inpatient admission or transfer when specialty or higher-level care is required
• Operate within a department that includes triage rooms, treatment rooms, trauma rooms, dedicated pediatric and psychiatric rooms, and a decontamination area
• Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including expected availability during designated holiday blocks

Required Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (required)
• Active American Heart Association PALS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months (non-negotiable)
• Rural or small facility emergency department experience
• Candidate must have personal reliable transportation
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification highly preferred
• Experience working in a critical access or small community hospital setting
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-acuity and diverse emergency presentations independently
