Registered Nurse – PICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekends Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Float to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Complete self-scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; shifts may be consecutive or split
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day
• Complete required orientation modules prior to and during the start of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to sister units (Pedi Med/Surg, NICU) as assigned
• Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling preferences upfront at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads accepted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a children’s hospital or pediatric trauma center environment
• Familiarity with NICU or Pediatric Med/Surg in addition to PICU
• Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling in a high-acuity pediatric setting
