Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Contract | Day Shift | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and identify outcomes for the patient or patient’s situation
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating care delivery and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide care in a safe, healing, and caring environment
• Provide health education and information to patients, families, and the treatment team; support discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members, supervising and directing assigned nursing staff
• Evaluate patient progress toward attaining outcomes and adjust care plans as needed using critical thinking and independent judgment

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of two years of recent Emergency Room or relevant acute care experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
