Registered Nurse – Step Down / Oncology (ENT / Colorectal / Urology)

Contract | Rotating Days & Nights | 3×12 or 4×12 Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a surgical oncology unit, including ENT, colorectal, and urology patient populations
• Manage care for step-down patients requiring closer monitoring and intervention
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:4–1:5 on day shifts and 1:6 on night shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in oncology, surgical, or step-down nursing
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ENT, colorectal, or urology surgical patient populations
• Familiarity with step-down or progressive care unit workflows
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
