Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Emergency Department operating as a Level II trauma center, certified chest pain center, and thrombectomy-capable stroke center
• Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, with charge nurse support and 24/7 leadership availability
• Perform and assist with procedures including procedural sedation (Propofol, Etomidate, and Ketamine), psych/at-risk patient monitoring, and high-acuity interventions
• Utilize alternative-to-opioids (ALTO) pain management therapies in alignment with unit protocols
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech (DOS platform) EMR
• Engage proactively with patients and families to support understanding of care plans and deliver high-quality patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department hospital experience
• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Colorado
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
• CPI Blue Card required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
• Familiarity with alternative-to-opioid (ALTO) pain management approaches
