Central Sterile Tech – Night

Key Responsibilities

• Process specialty and general surgical instruments in accordance with established procedures and infection control standards.
• Reset instrument sets without error and prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
• Decontaminate instruments and equipment according to departmental procedure and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
• Communicate instrument repair needs to supervisor in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) — Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required.
• Knowledge of case cart assembly and familiarity with regulatory standards of materials management.
• Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2–4 years of related sterile processing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with industry-recommended practices on sterilization and applicable regulatory requirements.
