Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac patients throughout the continuum of care
- Support open heart surgery recovery, including post-operative assessment and intervention
- Assist with post cardiac procedure recovery, ensuring hemodynamic stability and patient safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Indiana or compact state eligibility
- Background in Critical Care or Cardiac Critical Care nursing
- Experience with open heart recovery
- Experience with post cardiac procedure recovery
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience in a CVICU setting
- Familiarity with advanced cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic support devices
- CCRN or relevant cardiac nursing certification
