Sterile Processing Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap processes in accordance with facility standards
- Support surgical services across a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses or units
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Adhere to inclement weather team assignments and emergency response protocols as directed by management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
- National certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; no time off will be approved after contract is signed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, and/or GYN surgical cases
- Familiarity with teaching facility or Magnet-designated hospital environments
- Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple campuses or units
